Bow Tie Pasta with Smoked Salmon Lemon Sauce

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup Crisco® Pure Canola Oil
  • OR 1/2 cup Crisco® Puritan Canola Oil with Omega-3 DHA
  • 4 to 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 pound bow tie pasta, uncooked
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped Italian parsley (plus more for garnish)
  • 1/2 pound sliced smoked salmon
  • Salt and pepper
  • Thin lemon slices for garnish

PREPARATION DIRECTIONS:

    HEAT oil in a skillet over low heat; add garlic and onion. Cook until soft. Set aside.

    COOK pasta according to package directions; drain well. Put pasta back in the pot it was cooked in. Add garlic and onion mixture; mix well. Add lemon juice, green onions, parsley and salmon; mix well again.

    SEASON with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with Italian parsley and lemon slices, if desired.
