Simple Roast Chicken
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 (3 to 4 lbs.) whole chicken, giblets removed
- Crisco® Pure Olive Oil
- OR Crisco® Light Olive Oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
PREPARATION DIRECTIONS:
1. HEAT oven to 450ºF. Rinse and pat dry chicken. Rub with oil. Season generously with salt and pepper. Tuck the wings under the legs. Place in shallow roasting pan.
2. ROAST 45 to 50 minutes or until juices run clear. Remove from oven. Cover with foil. Let rest 15 minutes before carving.
