Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 cups crushed chocolate wafer cookies
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup Crisco® Butter Shortening
- OR 1/4 stick Crisco® Butter Shortening Sticks
- 1 (1.75 qt.) container mint chocolate chip ice cream, softened but not melted
- 1/4 cup Smucker's® Hot Fudge Spoonable Ice Cream Topping
PREPARATION DIRECTIONS:
1. HEAT oven to 350°F.
2. STIR together cookie crumbs and sugar in medium bowl. Cut in shortening with pastry blender or 2 knives until crumbs are moistened and begin to clump together. Press into bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
3. BAKE 8 minutes. Let crust cool briefly; freeze about 15 minutes.
4. REMOVE crust from freezer. Using a rubber spatula, spread ice cream over cream. Heat topping in microwave on HIGH (100% power) about 30 seconds. Stir; drizzle onto ice cream. Freeze pie at least 5 hours. Best when frozen overnight.
