GRILL bread, cut side down, 1 to 2 minutes until moderately charred. Turn.
ARRANGE tomatoes on bread. Grill, covered, 1 to 2 minutes until tomatoes are softened. Top with cheese, balsamic vinegar, remaining 2 Tbsp. oil and basil, if desired.
