INGREDIENTS

  • 6 green onions
  • 1/2 C. fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 C. Crisco® Pure Canola Oil
  • 1/4 C. soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. apple cider or red wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp. firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh gingerroot
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped habanero, Scotch bonnet or jalapeno pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Spice Islands® Ground Allspice
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh thyme leaves or 1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
  • 2 large shallots
  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Ground Saigon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. Spice Islands® Ground Nutmeg

DIRECTIONS

  1. COMBINE all marinade ingredients in food processor or blender container. Cover and process until smooth. Store in refrigerator in covered, non-metallic container, for up to 1 week. Use as a marinade for grilled poultry and pork.
