INGREDIENTS
1 C. Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
1 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
1/4 tsp. salt
4 C. powdered sugar, sifted
4-6 Tbsp. milk
food coloring (optional)
DIRECTIONS
In the bowl of a mixer, combine the shortening, vanilla and salt. Cream on med-high speed for 2 minutes. Scrape the sides of the bowl.
Add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, and blend into the shortening mixture on low-med speed.
Add the milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you have reached your desired consistency.
Add food coloring, if using, and stir on low speed to blend.
Store in an airtight container.
