INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/4 C. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 C. creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/2 C. Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsps. milk
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 3/4all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. HEAT oven to 375°F.
  2. BEAT brown sugar, peanut butter, shortening, egg, milk and vanilla in large bowl with mixer on high speed until smooth.
  3. STIR flour, Clabber Girl® Baking Soda and salt in small bowl until blended. Gradually add to creamed mixture, beating just until blended. Roll into 36 (1 1/2-inch) balls. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Flatten slightly with fork in a criss-cross pattern.
  4. BAKE 7 to 8 minutes or until set and lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
