INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

  1. HEAT oven to 425ºF. Combine flour, cheese, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add milk, mixing with fork until particles are moistened and cling together.
  2. PLACE on a lightly floured surface and knead 4 to 5 times. Roll to 3/4-inch thick. Cut with 3-inch floured biscuit cutter pushing straight down. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. BAKE 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Brush tops with melted butter flavor shortening. Serve warm.
