COMBINE shortening and brown sugar in small saucepan. Heat on low and stir until shortening is melted and sugar is blended. Add orange juice and peel. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture boils. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
POUR into medium skillet. Place over very low heat. Add crepes one at a time. Coat both sides. Fold in half and in half again. Repeat with remaining crepes, arranging on serving platter. Keep warm until ready to serve. Dust with powdered sugar.
