1 to 2 tsps. Spice Islands® Curry Powder or to taste
1 tsp. dried thyme or 2 tsp. chopped fresh thyme
Salt and pepper
DIRECTIONS
MELT shortening in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Cook apples and dates about 10 minutes or until apples are almost tender. Add apple juice and chicken broth. Simmer about 5 minutes or until sauce has thickened and apples are tender.
MIX in vinegar, mustard, curry powder and thyme. Season with salt and pepper, as desired. Serve warm.
