Easy Homemade Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 C. milk
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/3 C. Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil

Directions

  1. STIR flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl until blended.
  2. WHISK eggs in large bowl. Whisk in milk and vanilla until blended. Add flour mixture and oil, whisking just until small lumps remain.
  3. COAT waffle maker with no-stick cooking spray. Heat according to manufacturer’s directions. Drop batter onto hot waffle iron. Bake 3 to 4 minutes or until the waffle iron stops steaming. Carefully remove waffle. Repeat to bake remaining waffle batter. Serve with butter, syrup and fresh fruit.
  4. Substitute 1/2 Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening, melted and cooled or 1/2 C. Crisco Refined Coconut Oil, melted and cooled for the Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil.
