
Fried Ravioli

Ingredients
- Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening, for frying
- 9-10 oz. package refrigerated ravioli, any flavor
- ½ C. all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 Tbsp. water
- ¾ C. Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- ¼ C. shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 ½ C. marinara sauce, heated
Directions
- Place the flour in a shallow bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and water.
- In a third shallow bowl, combine the seasoned breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese.
- Dip ravioli in flour to coat both sides; shake off excess.
- Dip in egg mixture making sure all the flour is moistened.
- Then place in the bowl of breadcrumbs and coat both sides of the ravioli, patting to help coating adhere.
- Place enough shortening in a deep fryer or heavy bottomed saucepan so you have 2-3 inches of oil when melted.
- Heat to 375°F.
- Carefully add the ravioli to the preheated shortening and fry for approximately 2 minutes per side. Do not overcrowd the fryer.
- Remove ravioli from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Repeat with remaining ravioli.
- Serve with hot marinara sauce.
