Hawaiian Chicken Wings with Pineapple Blue Cheese Dip

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. Clabber Girl® Corn Starch
  • 1/4 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 C. soy sauce
  • 1/4 C. sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 lbs. chicken wings separated at joints
  • Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil

 

  • PINEAPPLE BLUE CHEESE DIP
  • 1/2 C. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 C. sour cream
  • 1/4 C. crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Directions

  1. COMBINE corn starch, flour, soy sauce, sugar, eggs, green onions, garlic, sesame seeds and salt in resealable food storage bag. Mix thoroughly.
  2. ADD chicken to corn starch mixture. Toss to coat. Marinate 2 hours.
  3. HEAT 2 inches oil in a deep fryer or deep heavy skillet. Fry chicken pieces, a few at a time, 8 to 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 180°F, turning to brown evenly. Drain on paper towels.
  4. COMBINE all dip ingredients; refrigerate until ready to serve. Makes about 2 cups.
