Ingredients

  • 1/4 C. red or white wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped pimiento
  • 2 tsps. Spice Islands® Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 2/3 C. Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1 (16 oz.) can chick peas
  • 2 (6 to 8 oz.) pkgs. baby spinach or romaine lettuce

Directions

  1. COMBINE vinegar, pimiento, garlic, oregano, sugar, salt and pepper in jar with tight-fitting lid. Shake well. Add oil. Shake well again.
  2. MARINATE chick peas in 1/2 C. dressing for 15 minutes. Toss with salad greens. Add extra dressing as needed.
