Apple Rose Shaped Pastries

Ingredients
- Two Crisco® pie crusts – recipe here https://crisco.com/recipe/classic-crisco-pie-crust/
- 3 red apples, cored and sliced very thinly
- Bowl of water
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 C. apricot preserves
- 1/4 C. melted butter
- 2 Tbsp. Spice Islands® Ground Cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400° F.
- Core and slice the apples very thinly, place into a bowl with water and the lemon juice.
- Microwave the bowl for 3 minutes, until apple slices become more tender.
- Roll out the two pie crusts into rectangles, and cut each one into 6 equal rows.
- Spoon the apricot preserves onto a slice of the pie crust.
- Place apple slices along half of the crust with the peel side facing out.
- Add a sprinkle of cinnamon and paint the exposed crust with melted butter.
- Fold the crust upwards to cover the majority of the apples, and roll to form the rose.
- Add into a muffin tin and duplicate 11 more times.
- Finish by sprinkling with granulated sugar and bake for 30-35 minutes.
