Serves

Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp
4 Tbsp. butter
¼ C. buffalo flavored hot sauce
2 large eggs
¼ C. water
1 ½ C. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. seasoning salt
2 C. Crisco® Pure Canola Oil, for frying
1 lemon wedge
your favorite dressing, for dipping

Directions

  1. Clean, peel and devein the shrimp. You may purchase shrimp with this step already done if you prefer, however, leave the tails on. Set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan on low heat, add the butter and hot sauce.
  3. Using a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the Crisco Pure Canola Oil, heating to 375 degrees F.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and water until combined. In a separate large bowl, combine the flour and seasoning salt. Working in small batches, toss the shrimp in the egg mixture, shake off the excess, and toss in the flour mixture.
  5. Carefully add 6-8 shrimp to the Crisco Pure Canola Oil. After about 2 minutes, turn each shrimp and cook for an additional minute. Carefully remove and continue the process until all shrimp are cooked.
  6. Before serving, drizzle with the warm sauce. Serve with a lemon wedge and your favorite dressing for dipping.
