Ingredients

  • 2 (14 oz.) cans green beans
  • 3/4 C. dried bread crumbs
  • 2 tsps. dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Garlic Powder
  • 1 C. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 C. Crisco® Pure Canola Oil

Directions

  1. HEAT oven to 350ºF.
  2. DRAIN beans; place in medium bowl.
  3. MIX together bread crumbs, basil, thyme, oregano, parsley, garlic powder and cheese in small bowl. Add salt and pepper. Reserve 2 Tbsp. for topping. Add remaining mixture and oil to green beans.
  4. TRANSFER beans to an ovenproof dish; sprinkle with the reserved crumb mixture.
  5. BAKE about 30 minutes or until top is golden and crispy.
  6. Frozen or blanched, cooled fresh green beans may be used in place of canned green beans. Italian style breadcrumbs with the garlic and Parmesan cheese may be used instead of dried breadcrumbs and herbs.
