INGREDIENTS
Two Crisco® pie crusts – recipe here
https://crisco.com/recipe/classic-crisco-pie-crust/
3 red apples, cored and sliced very thinly
Bowl of water
Juice of 1 lemon
1/4 C. apricot preserves
1/4 C. melted butter
2 Tbsp. Spice Islands® Ground Cinnamon
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400° F.
Core and slice the apples very thinly, place into a bowl with water and the lemon juice.
Microwave the bowl for 3 minutes, until apple slices become more tender.
Roll out the two pie crusts into rectangles, and cut each one into 6 equal rows.
Spoon the apricot preserves onto a slice of the pie crust.
Place apple slices along half of the crust with the peel side facing out.
Add a sprinkle of cinnamon and paint the exposed crust with melted butter.
Fold the crust upwards to cover the majority of the apples, and roll to form the rose.
Add into a muffin tin and duplicate 11 more times.
Finish by sprinkling with granulated sugar and bake for 30-35 minutes.
