INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 C. Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 1/3 C. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 C. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 3/4 C. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 C. peanut butter flavored chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

  1. HEAT oven to 375ºF.
  2. COMBINE shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar, sugar, eggs and vanilla in large bowl; beat with mixer until light and fluffy.
  3. COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Mix into shortening mixture at low speed until just blended. Stir in peanut butter chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto baking sheet.
  4. BAKE 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
